ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON

A Dallas native, Dr. Stuart attended Mesquite High School where he played football for the Skeeters and graduated as Salutatorian. He then attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Spanish. Returning to Dallas, he completed medical school at UT Southwestern before heading south for residency in orthopedic surgery at UT Medical Branch in Galveston. After residency, Dr. Stuart completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the renowned Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI) in Van Nuys, California.

Specializing in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle, Dr. Stuart also performs joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and general orthopedics. While at SCOI he was trained in advanced surgical procedures such as arthroscopic allograft rotator cuff reconstruction for massive rotator cuff tears and Latarjet reconstruction for shoulder instability.

Dr. Stuart has a special interest in medical missions and has treated patients in the Yucatan and Juarez, Mexico, as well as Machala, Ecuador. He also served as an emergency responder when Hurricane Ike ravaged Galveston Island in 2009.

Dr. Stuart sees patients at the main office as well as the Rockwall location.
